SIL:
Symbol of the English SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION indicating the
Bethesda System classification squamous intraepithelial
lesions. It is divided into two grades, low and high grade.
CIN:
Symbol of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia English indicating
cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Depending on the severity
of the injury is divided into three grades:

1 corresponds to mild dysplasia.
CIN
2 to moderate dysplasia.
CIN
3 includes both severe dysplasia and carcinoma in situ.
PIN:
Symbol of the English PENIL intraepithelial neoplasia indicating penile
intraepithelial neoplasia. It is divided into three grades
according to severity of the lesion and in the RCN.
PAIN:
Symbol of the English PERIANAL INTRAEPHITELIAL NEOPLASIA indicating
perianal intraepithelial neoplasia. It is divided into three
grades according to severity of the lesion and in the RCN.
PEIN:
Symbol of the English PERINEAL INTRAEPHITELIAL NEOPLASIA indicating
perineal intraepithelial neoplasia. It is divided into three grades
according to severity of the lesion and in the RCN.
VIN:
Symbol of the English VULVA INTRAEPHITELIAL NEOPLASIA indicating vulvar
intraepithelial neoplasia. It is divided into three grades according to
severity of the lesion and in the RCN.
VAIN:
Symbol of the English VAGINAL INTRAEPHITELIAL NEOPLASIA indicating
vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia. It is divided into three
grades according to severity of the lesion and in the RCN.
ASCUS:
Atypical English Acronym of Undetermined Significance SKUAMOUS CELL
indicating the presence of atypical cells of undetermined significance.
